Colibri Loader Tool for Windows 2000/XP

This Tool is only needed if you accidentally overwrite your Windows CE IMAGE with something that will not boot anymore or
even overwrite your Bootloader. Don't use this tool if you are not sure about what you're doing!

This Tool must be run from a local path and you need Local Administrator rights.

Ethernet Download

If your Bootloader is still working you just need to re-Flash a good IMAGE over Ethernet:
- Start ColibriLoader
- In the Lower half of the Window Select Download Interface: Ethernet
- Browse for an IMAGE File
- Press "Download" button
(Now a Window saying "Waiting for Device to Respond" will appear)
- Open a Terminal Connection to Serial Port 1 (Lower one on Evalkit) (9600 baud) (Use some program like HyperTerminal or Teraterm)
- Enter the Bootloader Menu by holding the <spacebar> on a connected terminal program and resetting the Evaluation Board
- When the Menu appears select "F" (Download IMAGE to Flash)
(After a few second the ColibriLoader should start sending the IMAGE)

NOTE: The update is not finished when the Ethernet File Transfer ends! (See messages over the serial port)
After about 1-2 Min the IMAGE will boot and then the update procedure is complete.

JTAG Download

If the Bootloader in not working anymore (overwritten) then you can recover over JTAG:

On Evaluation Board version 1.1:

First of all you need a FCC cable between X4 on the Colibri Evaluation Board and the X2 of the Colibri Module (0.5mm pitch 8 wires)
Make sure the FCC cable is properly inserted with contacts towards Colibri PCB (on Colibri Side) and with contacts towards the evalboard PCB (on the evalbaord side).


On Evaluation Board version 2.1:

First of all you need a FCC cable between X19 on the Colibri Evaluation Board and the X2 of the Colibri Module (0.5mm pitch 8 wires)
Make sure the FCC cable is properly inserted with contacts towards Colibri PCB (on Colibri Side) and with contacts opposite to evalboard PCB (on the evalbaord side). The Cable should do a half twist.

We strongly recommend to use the Amontec JTAGkey-Tiny to program the Colibri via JTAG.

Plug the Amontec adapter directly onto the X13 connector on the Evaluation Board v2.1 with Amontec label facing to the SDCard slot on the Evaluation board.
(X20 on Evaluation board V1.1) 
Don't forget to install the Amontec driver which you can find on the Amontec web page!


Once you have all required cables:
- Start the ColibriLoader Tool
- Browse for a Bootloader File (in the Upper half of the Window)
- Press "Download" Button
(If your Colibri Evaluation board is not powered yet ColibriLoader will wait until it is powered an it detects a JTAG device)
The Download will take about 30 Seconds for a 70Kb Bootloader)
