Colibri Flash File System Changes (from 1.0 to 1.1) ====================================================== With version 1.1 of the Toradex Colibri Windows CE IMAGE the Intel Persistent Storage Manager (IPSM) file system was replaced with the Microsoft Flash File System beacuse of some stability issues. This means that the you will loose the \IPSM folder after the IMAGE update! So if you have any importednt data on your device's IPSM folder do copy the data before updating. Another side effect of this update is that the new file system is not formatting the FLASH automatically on startup (like the IPSM) if no valid filesystem is recognized. This behavior can be changed with some registry settings is desired. To use the Flash File System after the IMAGE update you'll have to format it manually. (On future Colibri modules this will already be pre configured) To Enable the Flash File Sytem do following steps: - Go to the ControlPanel - Start Storage Manager - Click on Format... A promt will appear: "Format the Selected Store?" Click on "YES" (May take about 1-2 Minutes) - you should get a "Format Store Succeeded" Message if everything went right. - Then click on "New" (This will open the "Create New partition" Dialog) - Give the partition a Name... ("data" for example) and click OK - Click OK again on the Storage Manager Dialog. This will close the Storage Manager Now the Flash File System is ready for use! A Folder "Nor Flash" should be visible in "My Device". This is the replace, ent for the old "IPSM" folder.
