You can adjust the display registry settings directly using the iMX6 Display Tool. The tool provides an interactive graphical interface with all the display settings supported by the display driver through registry. Previously, we used this functionality as a part of our Colibri Tweak tool, but for better maintainability, we have now split it into a separate display tool for the iMX6 modules only.

The features are further subdivided into specific configurations to provide a better understanding of the tool.

  • Display Hardware Configuration
BPP Specify the bit per pixel which is used in the internal frame buffer.
LDDS Specify the number of data lines which are used to connect the display.

Preset Here you can choose a display preset. The display preset files have to be in a folder called "DisplayPresets" which is on the same place as the iMX6_Display_V1.1_WEC7.exe or iMX6_Display_V1.1_WEC2013.exe.
Save Save the display settings to the Registry and save the registry to the flash memory.

  • To get the correct range of supported values from the display driver, read the Display Driver Registry Settings article.
  • For changes in display setting to take effect, reboot the module.
  • Disabled features are either not available or not yet implemented.
