caution

Apalis TK1 is a discontinued (EOL) product, see "Revision History" for details. As alternatives, we recommend:
Verdin iMX8M Plus: ideal for high-performance machine learning thanks to the NPU. Cost-effective.
Apalis iMX8: high-performance with a hexa-core CPU and powerful GPU. Pin compatible with Apalis TK1.

Getting Started

Apalis TK1 is a member of the Apalis Family. You will find all technical details such as features, datasheets, software, etc. here.

Not Recommended For New Designs: Given supply chain uncertainty with this product, we advise switching to the Verdin Family

For starting for the first time with your Apalis TK1 you will need a suitable Apalis Carrier Board as well as some adapters and cables for connecting your desired interfaces.
Toradex recommends ordering the following accessories for your fist-time order:

You can buy the Apalis TK1 module, Apalis Evaluation Board and Carrier Board Accessory Kit from the Toradex webshop.

3D Models

General Apalis 3D Mechanical Models

The basic Apalis 3D model contains the PCB and the maximum component height on top and bottom of the module.

This is a SolidWorks CAD model. You can download the free eDrawings model viewer from SolidWorks here.
This is a generic STEP model that can be opened and modified in any 3D CAD.
This is a generic 3D pdf model that can be opened in Adobe Reader.

Apalis TK1 3D Mechanical Models

The Apalis TK1 3D model is simplified and contains only the PCB and the CPU. It is intended to be used for heat spreader or heat sink designs. The CPU height is a typical value. Due to production tolerances, the actual height of the assembled component can be different. Please use the generic Apalis mechanical model with the maximum component height for testing the mechanical fit. This ensures the mechanical design fits all current Apalis modules as well as future releases.
