Partner Demo Container - Flutter
Introduction
The Flutter Demo Container lets you evaluate a Flutter graphical application running on Torizon OS, without building anything from scratch. The demo is created by Crossware, a Toradex partner, and it is deployed to your device from the Torizon Demo Gallery.
This article covers the basic usage of the Flutter Demo Container, and it guides you on how to:
- Check whether your module is supported by the demo
- Deploy the demo to your device through the Torizon Demo Gallery
- Move from the demo to developing your own Flutter application
The Torizon Demo Gallery offers a curated collection of demos and samples that deploy directly to the target device in a few clicks, without manual container setup.
Supported Modules
Flutter is supported in arm64 modules running Torizon OS. A demo container ready for evaluation is available at the Torizon Demo Gallery.
Intended Use
This partner demo container is meant for the evaluation of the technology. It is suitable for development, but not for production.
Prerequisites
- A Toradex System on Module with Torizon OS installed. For instructions about how to install Torizon OS on your board, refer to the Toradex Quickstart Guide.
- An account on the Torizon Cloud, with your device provisioned. The Toradex Quickstart Guide also covers the provisioning.
- A display connected to the module. The demo needs a connected display to be seen.
Deploy the Demo
The Flutter demo is deployed from the Torizon Demo Gallery through the Torizon Cloud, in a few clicks and with no manual container setup:
- Open the Flutter Demo page on the Torizon Demo Gallery.
- Select the hardware you want to deploy the demo to.
- You are directed to the Torizon Cloud, where you select one of your provisioned devices and deploy the demo.
