There exists a compatibility issue between the various generations of Verdin carrier boards and the Toradex Easy Installer versions shipped on Verdin iMX8M Mini V1.1A modules:
One symptom of having a Toradex Easy Installer version incompatible with the carrier board generation is the lack of display output on displays connected to any of the Verdin DSI display adapters. The root cause of the incompatibility lays in the changes that have been introduced with the latest Verdin Family Specifications update. For more information, see the related article on the Verdin Product Family Specification Update.
The entire Verdin Family catalog can be found on the Verdin SoM Family page.
The issue can be resolved by installing a Toradex Easy Installer version onto the Verdin iMX8M Mini module that is compatible with the Verdin carrier board generation the module is intended to be used with.
Each Toradex product comes with a label including:
For example, this is the label on one of the carrier boards:
Tip: In this case, the Dahlia Carrier Board is a 2dn generation product as explained in the introduction.
Please refer to the Toradex Easy Installer version according to the Carrier Board generation.

In order to install another version of the Toradex Easy Installer, it is necessary to put the SoM into Recovery Mode. To do so, check the recovery mode in iMX SoMs article.
After the board is in recovery mode, install the compatible easy installer version.
