Shock and Vibration Compliance Tests

Introductionā€‹

Shock and vibration tests compliance is an important measure for many industries. Many people are worried about these tests when it comes to modules. However, it isn't a problem for our modules and the module approach in general to comply with many different standards.

The vibration tests were conducted on a shaker fixture plate setup and pictures of the setup are provided in the test reports. While the devices under test were exposed to vibration and shock, software was executed to detect discontinuities in the edge connector or failures on the module and carrier board. The vibration and shock tests have been performed on fifteen different combinations of Toradex carrier boards and Computer on Modules. Proper fastening methods were applied: screws, heatsinks, fasteners or SODIMM fingers.

Tests and Resultsā€‹

This section provides a list of tests executed as well as the full test reports, which contain comprehensive specification, procedures and result information. The test procedures have been performed by a leading independent and internationally accredited testing laboratory company (ISO/IEC 17025), inspection body (ISO/IEC 17020), Quinel AG.
